Game Overview

Computer Circus Maximus was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games release, a collection that bundled various titles from the platform's early years. It was developed by a small team whose name isn't widely remembered now, but the game fits right into that era of simple, direct entertainment designed for quick sessions. You get a clear sense of its origins just from the blocky graphics and the straightforward premise it presents.

You control a charioteer, either a clown or a gladiator, racing around an arena against other opponents. The main goal is to complete laps faster than anyone else while avoiding obstacles like stray elephants and slippery banana peels left in your path. The controls are twitchy, making sharp turns a constant risk of flipping your chariot entirely. It moves at a frantic pace, and the difficulty comes from managing both your speed and the chaotic items that appear. Playing it feels like trying to steer through a party that's gotten wildly out of hand.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
