Game Overview

Computer Diplomacy was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release that bundled several early strategy titles without a clear single developer or publisher. It belongs to that era of computing where games relied on text and simple graphics, demanding more from your imagination and planning than from your graphics card.

You control the military forces of one of the great European powers, issuing movement orders to armies and fleets across a divided map. The main objective is to capture supply centers and eliminate rival players through a combination of force and negotiation. Signature mechanics include submitting written orders each turn, which resolve simultaneously, and engaging in tense diplomacy phases where you must negotiate with other players, often in secret. The pacing is deliberate, almost glacial, and the difficulty is high because every alliance is temporary. It feels like a constant test of trust and foresight, where one misjudged promise can undo hours of work.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
