Play Subhunt Online
You're hunched over a sonar grid, holding your breath as destroyers circle overhead—one wrong move and those depth charges will turn your sub into scrap metal. The beeping sonar somehow makes spreadsheet graphics feel terrifying.

Game Overview
Subhunt is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes staring at a grid of tiny squares feel like life-or-death naval warfare. You're in this creaky submarine, plotting torpedo angles while enemy destroyers loom overhead—one wrong move, and suddenly you're listening to the ominous pings of sonar getting closer and closer. The graphics are about as fancy as an Excel spreadsheet, but somehow that just makes it more intense.
What I love is how it turns simple mechanics into pure tension. You’ll spend minutes silently adjusting your position, then panic when depth charges start exploding nearby. The sound design does a lot of the heavy lifting—those tinny sonar beeps still haunt my dreams. It’s like Battleship if Battleship occasionally gave you cold sweats. Perfect for when you want strategy without the frills.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
