Play Super Black Bass Fishing (E) Online
Cast your line, feel the tug, and wrestle with bass that actually fight back—turns out fishing’s weirdly tense when the water physics feel this real.

Super Black Bass Fishing came out for the Nintendo DS in 2006, developed by Starfish. It was part of that early wave of DS titles that tried to make good use of the touchscreen, offering a more hands-on approach to a traditionally simple genre. It didn't try to reinvent fishing games, but it did aim to make the experience feel a bit more involved on the handheld.
You control an angler from a first-person perspective on the top screen, using the stylus on the touchscreen to cast your line by making a flicking motion. The main goal is to catch the biggest bass you can find in various lakes. Key mechanics include selecting your lure and carefully working it through the water by tapping and dragging, then engaging in a struggle to reel the fish in once it bites, managing line tension to avoid snapping it. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with bursts of activity when a fish is hooked. It feels surprisingly focused for a portable game, turning a quiet activity into something that demands your full attention.
