The main goal is to win tournaments by landing heavy fish, which involves choosing your spot, picking the right lure, and managing your line tension. Signature mechanics include casting with the stylus by making a quick flicking motion, then reeling in by dragging the stylus in circles; when a fish bites, you enter a struggle where you must keep the line taut without letting it snap. The pacing is patient, with bursts of intensity during fights, and the difficulty comes from learning fish behavior and adapting your technique. It feels surprisingly physical and focused, like you're actually working the rod.
