Super Fighter came out in 1993 for MS-DOS, published by Computer & Entertainment Inc. It was one of those games you'd load up after school, a straightforward beat 'em up that fit right in with the era's appetite for pixelated action. There was no grand story or elaborate setup; you just picked a character and started swinging.
You control one of several fighters, each with their own basic moves, and your goal is to punch and kick your way through screen after screen of enemies. The action is split across distinct levels, and you face a boss at the end of each one. Combat relies on simple combos and special moves, which you execute with quick button combinations. The game moves fast and doesn't pull its punches, so you have to stay alert and react quickly. It feels raw and immediate, like a quick scrap in a back alley.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
