Super Full Metal (Europe) (It,Sv) (Proto) is one of those weird, half-finished SNES games that somehow feels more interesting because it never got a proper release. You boot it up, and within seconds you're thrown into this chaotic, vaguely European action-shooter thing—pixelated explosions everywhere, enemies that move just a little too fast, and a soundtrack that sounds like someone cranked the bass on a Mega Drive.
It’s rough around the edges (obviously, it’s a prototype), but there’s something about the way it plays—snappy controls, satisfying gun feedback—that makes you wish it had gotten polished. The levels feel like they were meant to be longer, the power-ups hint at deeper mechanics that never got fleshed out. If you’re into obscure retro stuff, this is like finding a lost demo tape from a band that never made it big.
Not essential, but definitely a cool little time capsule for SNES die-hards.
