Play Super Metroid Stardust Online
Samus moves through familiar alien halls, but now every shot sends stardust swirling—platforms materialize from the glitter, and boss fights turn into these chaotic light shows where you surf on particle waves.

Super Metroid Stardust came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed and published by Nintendo. It arrived late in the SNES lifecycle, a time when developers were really pushing what the hardware could do visually and sonically, and it fit right into that experimental, ambitious phase.
You control Samus Aran, a bounty hunter exploring the caverns of Zebes to stop the Space Pirates from weaponizing a stolen Metroid. The core of the game is methodical, screen-by-screen exploration; you shoot doors open, bomb suspicious walls for secrets, and collect upgrades like the Morph Ball and Ice Beam to access new areas. Its signature mechanic is the Stardust system: defeating enemies or hitting certain surfaces causes them to erupt into clouds of glowing particles that can temporarily form new platforms or be absorbed to charge your special weapons. The pacing is deliberate, often quiet and tense, punctuated by frantic, complex boss battles where you must use the environment and your entire arsenal. It feels like solving a massive, interconnected puzzle where every new ability genuinely changes how you move and see the world.
