Game Overview
Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll for the DS takes those little monkeys in plastic balls and gives them a fresh twist—this time, you're tilting the stage using the touchscreen instead of buttons. It feels weirdly satisfying to drag the stylus and watch the whole world tilt under your monkey’s ball. The usual obstacle courses are here, but now you’ve got way more precision dodging gaps or snagging bananas before time runs out.
There’s a bunch of minigames too, like Monkey Bowling (way more chaotic than it sounds) and Monkey Wars, where you’re suddenly in a first-person shooter… with monkeys. The four-player mode is a blast if you’ve got friends nearby, though good luck not flipping the table when someone nudges your ball off-course at the last second. The DS version adds some fresh stuff, but at its core, it’s still that same weirdly addictive balance of frustration and "just one more try."
