Game Overview
Super Putty is one of those weird little SNES games that somehow sticks with you. You control this stretchy blue blob—basically sentient chewing gum—who bounces, flattens, and contorts through levels to save his fellow blobs. The first time I tried stretching Putty into a parachute to float past spikes, I knew this wasn’t your average platformer.
The physics are hilariously jiggly, and half the fun comes from experimenting: Can I stretch into a ladder here? What happens if I copy that enemy’s ability? Some levels feel like puzzles, others like obstacle courses, but they all have that ‘90s charm—bright colors, catchy chiptune music, and enemies that look like they escaped from a toy box.
It’s not perfect—some jumps are finicky, and the later levels get brutal—but there’s nothing else quite like it. If you dig oddball platformers with personality, this one’s worth a squish.
