Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is basically Capcom throwing Tetris into a blender with their fighting game roster—and somehow it works. You’re dropping colored blocks like usual, but here, matching them builds up gems that you can smash with crash gems to dump garbage on your opponent. The chibi-style sprites make Ryu and Chun-Li look absurdly cute while they’re sweating over puzzle grids.
At first, I kept forgetting which colors countered what, but after a few rounds, you start seeing the rhythm—like how red beats green, but blue’s the real wildcard. The cameos are a nice touch if you’ve ever played Street Fighter or Darkstalkers, though honestly, I just love watching Morrigan’s tiny wings flap when she’s panicking. It’s chaotic, fast, and way more satisfying than it has any right to be.
