Play Swat Kats Online
Hop in the Turbokat and tear through Megakat City, dodging missiles while blasting waves of goons and ridiculous robot bosses—just like the cartoon, but with way more explosions. The pixel art and screeching guitar riffs nail that '90s Saturday morning vibe.

I picked up Swat Kats for the Super Nintendo back in 1995, a side-scrolling shooter developed by Hudson Soft. It was one of those licensed games that felt right at home on the SNES, with plenty of others like it vying for attention. The game captures the look of the show pretty well, with detailed sprites and some decent parallax scrolling in the backgrounds.
You control either T-Bone or Razor, piloting the Turbokat jet through a series of stages, shooting down enemy aircraft and ground targets. The main goal is to clear each level, defeat the boss, and move on to the next zone. Signature mechanics include collecting power-ups to upgrade your weapons, switching between different missile types for specific situations, and navigating through tight corridors while avoiding enemy fire. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike pretty hard, especially during boss fights. It feels like a solid, straightforward arcade-style shooter that doesn't overcomplicate things.
