Sword World SFC came out in 1993 for the Super Nintendo, developed by T&E Soft. It was part of that wave of Japanese RPGs that leaned into tabletop mechanics, a bit more niche than some of the bigger names on the system but interesting if you liked that sort of thing.

You create a character by rolling virtual dice for your stats, then guide them through a fantasy world viewed from an overhead perspective. The main goal is to explore dungeons, fight monsters, and complete quests. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can feel unforgiving if your dice rolls were poor. It feels like playing a condensed Dungeons & Dragons session with all the randomness that entails.
