Sword is one of those classic Amiga platformers that feels like a mix of Rick Dangerous and a caffeine-fueled action flick. You’ve got a machine gun, but don’t go trigger-happy—it overheats if you hold down fire for too long. And trust me, you’ll need it, because everything from knights to falling rocks wants to knock you back to the start of the level.

The levels keep switching things up—one minute you’re stumbling through pitch-black darkness, the next you’re skiing downhill while the screen scrolls automatically. The fifth level even throws you into an upward climb, which feels weirdly intense. Boss fights are brutal, but beating one gives you that sweet, sweet password to pick up later.

It’s not forgiving, but there’s something satisfying about finally nailing a tricky jump or timing your shots just right. Just watch out for those spikes—they’re everywhere.
