Game Overview

Tales of Eternia came to the PlayStation Portable in 2005, published by Namco. It was one of the earlier RPGs on the system, offering a substantial adventure during a time when the PSP library was still growing. The game originally released on PlayStation, but this portable version made it easy to take on the go.

You control a party of characters, primarily Reid and Farah, exploring towns and dungeons screen by screen. The main goal involves preventing the collision of two parallel worlds, Inferia and Celestia. Combat happens in real time on a separate battle screen, where you chain basic attacks and special artes into combos; you can also block or dash to avoid enemy strikes. The pacing is brisk, with frequent battles and a straightforward progression that rarely leaves you stuck. It feels responsive and engaging, especially when you pull off a long combo while managing your party's positioning and resources.
