Task Force came out for the Atari 2600 in 1987, published by Froggo. It was one of the later releases for the system, a time when many developers were still finding ways to squeeze new ideas out of the aging hardware.

You control a soldier navigating a series of single-screen mazes filled with patrolling enemies. Your objective is to shoot all the guards on a level before advancing to the next. The game requires careful timing and positioning; you often wait for an enemy to turn away before taking a shot, and running out of bullets means a risky dash to find more. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is unforgiving, with instant death from any contact. It feels like a tense game of cat and mouse where every decision matters.
