Game Overview

Ever seen a teddy bear with a ray gun? That’s Teddy Boy Blues in a nutshell—a weird, wonderful little shooter for the SEGA Master System that never left Japan. You hop and blast through these trippy, pastel-colored levels full of walking mushrooms and bouncing blobs, and the best part? When you zap an enemy, they turn into a floating platform. Half the fun is figuring out how to use them to reach higher spots or dodge attacks.

The whole thing feels like playing through some lost 80s cartoon—bright, jangly music, chunky pixel art, and just the right amount of jank. It’s not super hard, but there’s something oddly satisfying about the way your shots send enemies bouncing around before they poof into platforms. Definitely one of those "how did this get made?" games, but in the best way possible.

If you’re into obscure retro stuff, this one’s worth digging up. Just don’t expect it to make much sense.
