Game Overview

Remember when TMNT was called "Hero Turtles" in some places? This Amiga version throws you right into the sewers with that classic arcade beat-em-up action. You pick your turtle—Leo's my go-to, but Donnie's reach with that staff isn't bad either—and start smashing foot soldiers with pizza-fueled combos.

The screen scrolls just slow enough that you can actually react when enemies pour in from both sides (unlike some ports where everything feels like a chaotic blur). And yeah, you'll still groan when you accidentally jump-kick into an enemy instead of attacking—some things never change.

That dam level with the swimming section? Still as tense as ever, especially with the Amiga's chunky sound effects selling every explosion. It's not the prettiest version out there, but there's something about the way the colors pop on those sprites that just feels right.
