Play The Dig Online
You play as an astronaut who accidentally activates ancient alien tech, then wake up stranded on a strange planet—now you’re poking at weird artifacts and second-guessing every button you press. That ‘90s LucasArts vibe, but with more quiet mystery than goofy pirates.

If you've ever wanted to feel like an astronaut stumbling onto something way bigger than your mission briefing prepared you for, The Dig nails that vibe perfectly. You start off as Boston Low—NASA commander, reluctant leader—investigating an asteroid that's about to wreck Earth. Then, of course, you accidentally activate ancient alien tech and wake up stranded on a planet that looks equal parts beautiful and unsettling.
The puzzles here aren't just "use key on door" stuff—you'll be poking at alien artifacts, figuring out how their weird tech works, and occasionally second-guessing whether you just broke something important. The atmosphere is thick with that classic '90s LucasArts charm, though it's more 2001 than Monkey Island—quieter, heavier, with just enough dry humor in the dialogue to keep it from feeling pretentious.
What stuck with me years later? The way the planet feels abandoned, not empty—like you're piecing together what happened long after the main event. And that soundtrack? Haunting in the best way. Just don't expect quick solutions—some puzzles will have you staring at the screen until it clicks.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
