I picked up The Flintstones - Big Trouble In Bedrock (Rocket) (E) expecting a simple platformer, but it's got this weird mix of clunky controls and oddly satisfying moments. You mostly jump around as Fred or Barney, hitting things with clubs or tossing rocks, but the physics feel a little off—like you're always slightly heavier than you should be.

First ten minutes are just figuring out how not to fall into pits while smashing crates for fruit. The art style nails the cartoon look though, with those bright colors and chunky character sprites. Some of the later levels throw in these bizarre obstacles, like dinosaur rides that handle like shopping carts on ice.

It's not great, but there's something charming about how janky it all is. The Flintstones - Big Trouble In Bedrock (Rocket) (E) is the kind of game you play when you want something simple and a little nostalgic, even if it frustrates you half the time.
