The main goal is to help reclaim Erebor from Smaug, which involves platforming, light combat with a short sword, and interacting with characters to solve simple puzzles. You collect items like keys and health-restoring lembas bread, and the pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, with some awkward jumps and enemy patterns that can frustrate. It feels like a straightforward, sometimes clumsy adaptation that still manages to pull you into its world.
