Game Overview

Okay, so The King of Fighters '99 Millennium Battle is classic Neo Geo chaos—fast, flashy, and packed with that late-90s arcade energy. You jump right into team battles (3v3, obviously), picking from a ridiculous roster of fighters, each with their own weirdly specific moves. I always end up sticking with Terry Bogard because, well, power geyser never gets old.

The controls feel tight, but some of the new mechanics—like the striker system—take a minute to get used to. At first, I kept forgetting to call in backup, but once it clicks, pulling off combos with your assists feels ridiculously satisfying. The AI isn’t messing around either—by the third match, you’ll be sweating against some of these bosses.

And yeah, the pixel art still holds up. Those super move animations? Chef’s kiss. Just don’t expect a deep story—it’s all about the fights. Grab a friend for versus mode if you can, because that’s where the real trash talk begins.
