Game Overview

I remember playing The Three Stooges on MS-DOS back in the day. It came out in 1987 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Cinemaware. At a time when many games were straightforward platformers or text adventures, this one stood out for its humor and its attempt to translate a slapstick comedy act into a playable experience. It felt like a novelty, something you’d show your friends just to see their reaction.

You control Moe, Larry, and Curly, switching between them to complete various minigames. The main goal is to raise money for an orphanage by winning events like a pie fight, a cracker-eating contest, and a slap fight. Each sequence requires different inputs; some are timing-based, others test your reflexes. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially in later stages. It feels silly and unpredictable, like you’re part of a cartoon where anything can go wrong at any moment.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
