Game Overview

This Means War! came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by MicroProse Software. It was a time when strategy games were finding their footing on PC, and this one offered a mix of dark humor and tactical depth that felt right at home among other titles of the era.

You control a commander overseeing a small army in a chaotic, post-apocalyptic world. Your main goal is to conquer territories by moving units across a strategic map, engaging in real-time battles whenever enemies meet. Key mechanics include managing resources, deploying different unit types like infantry and vehicles, and dealing with unpredictable factions such as cultists and mercenaries. The pacing is deliberate, with a steep learning curve that punishes careless moves. It feels like a tense, sometimes absurd puzzle where every decision matters.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
