Game Overview

Thunder Cross II is that classic arcade shooter sequel you didn’t know you needed—same frantic energy as the first game, but with way more ways to blow stuff up. You’re piloting a tiny ship against swarms of enemy crafts, dodging bullets while trying to grab power-ups before they vanish. The weapons feel great—lasers cut through crowds, rockets obliterate bosses, and those weird fire columns (no idea what they’re called) just melt everything.

What I love is how chaotic it gets when you’re juggling speed boosts and weapon swaps mid-fight. One second you’re weaving through bullet patterns, the next you’re laughing as your friend accidentally steals your triple-shot pickup. The pixel art holds up, especially during boss fights where the screen fills with explosions and neon death beams. It’s tough but fair—if you’ve played any 90s shmups, you’ll feel right at home.

Best played with a buddy, but still a blast solo if you’re up for the challenge. Just don’t blame me when you’re out of quarters.
