Game Overview

Thunderbirds on GBA is one of those licensed games that actually tries something different. You control three kids with distinct abilities, switching between them to solve puzzles in places like Africa or outer space. Alan jumps and pushes stuff, Tin-Tin moves objects with her mind, and Fermat hacks computers or rolls through tight spaces.

The overhead puzzle sections feel a bit clunky at first, but the flight sequences where you pilot Thunderbird vehicles break up the pace nicely. I remember getting stuck in one level where you have to coordinate all three characters to open doors in the right order—it took me way longer than it should have.

It’s not perfect, but for a movie tie-in, Thunderbirds has more depth than you’d expect.
