Thunderbirds on the Amiga is one of those games where you feel like you’re part of the team—if you don’t mess up the prep phase, anyway. You pick two Thunderbirds for each mission, and choosing the wrong gear before heading out is a quick way to fail. (Learned that the hard way when I brought the wrong tools to the flooded mine and watched those poor miners drown.)

The first mission’s a race against rising water, climbing ladders and dodging cave-ins to rescue trapped miners. Then it shifts to a nuclear sub about to blow, which somehow leads to breaking into a bank for secret documents. The whole thing spirals into this ridiculous but fun showdown with a villain holding the team hostage. The puzzles aren’t brutal, but they’ll make you think, and switching between characters keeps things moving. Just don’t forget Brains’ gadgets—you’ll need them.
