Game Overview

Ever wanted to feel like a helicopter pilot from an '80s action movie? ThunderBlade on MS-DOS nails that vibe—you're basically a flying tank with missiles, weaving between buildings and blowing up everything in sight. The perspective keeps switching between top-down and behind-the-copter, which sounds weird but actually makes dodging enemy fire way more intense.

The graphics are blocky, the music is pure synth, and the controls take a minute to get used to (good luck landing smoothly). But once you're in the air, it's just you, your minigun, and an endless stream of tanks and jets begging to be turned into scrap metal. It's not fancy, but there's something weirdly satisfying about how straightforward it is—no upgrades, no skill trees, just pure arcade chaos.

If you've ever played After Burner and thought "this would be better with helicopters," congrats, your game exists. Just don't expect to walk away without humming the soundtrack for days.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
