Time Lock came out for the Amiga in 1993 from Boeder Software GmbH. It was a puzzle game that fit right in with the platform's strong lineup of thoughtful, often challenging, games from that period. You control a cursor to manipulate groups of three blocks arranged diagonally on a grid. The main goal is to clear the board by matching three or more identical blocks in any direction. You shift or cycle these descending trios to create matches, with special blocks occasionally appearing to mix things up. The game offers five difficulty levels and customizable themes, letting you adjust the challenge to your liking. It starts calmly but quickly demands faster decisions and sharper pattern recognition as the blocks pile up. Playing it feels like a constant, satisfying battle against a steadily rising tide of colored tiles.
