I remember picking up Tiny Toon Adventures for the NES back in 1991, a Konami release that came out when licensed platformers were everywhere. It was one of those games you'd rent hoping it wasn't just another cash grab, and it actually had some thought put into it. The graphics were bright and captured the show's style well, which wasn't always a given back then.

You control Buster Bunny through six stages, each ending with a boss fight against one of the show's villains. The main goal is to rescue Babs Bunny from Montana Max, but along the way you can switch to other characters like Plucky Duck or Dizzy Devil, each with their own special moves. The levels are linear but have some hidden areas and items to find, and you'll jump on enemies, collect carrots for points, and avoid environmental hazards. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty is manageable but not without a few cheap hits here and there. It feels like a solid, straightforward platformer that doesn't overstay its welcome.
