Game Overview

I remember playing Titanic: Adventure Out of Time back in 1996, a point-and-click adventure game released for MS-DOS by Cyberflix. It was one of those games that really stood out during the era of CD-ROMs, using the setting of the ship's final hours to frame a surprisingly intricate spy thriller. The pre-rendered backgrounds and full-motion video clips gave it a cinematic feel that was ambitious for its time, even if the graphics look dated now.

You control a former British spy who must navigate the ship, interacting with passengers and crew to recover items that can alter the course of history. The gameplay is methodical, built around exploring screen by screen, collecting clues, and solving inventory-based puzzles. There's a constant pressure from the sinking ship, which forces you to manage your time and make quick decisions. The difficulty comes from the branching paths and multiple endings; one wrong move or missed conversation can lock you out of the best outcomes. It feels tense and immersive, like you're racing against both the clock and your own mistakes.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
