Tom and Jerry: Mousehunt on Game Boy Color is basically like being dropped into one of those classic cartoon chases—except now you're the mouse. Jerry’s got to grab cheese, set traps, and generally make Tom’s life miserable while avoiding his clumsy paws. The sprites are surprisingly expressive for a GBC game—Tom’s face when he steps on a rake is priceless.
It’s not just running, though. You’ll sneak behind furniture, trigger domino-effect traps, and occasionally turn the tables by dropping anvils (because of course). The controls are simple, but timing matters—mistake a dash for safety, and suddenly you’re dangling from Tom’s grip by your tail. Perfect for quick plays, though I lost a few rounds just laughing at the animations.
If you ever wanted to live out that tiny-mouse-versus-giant-cat fantasy, this is the closest you’ll get without actual cheese bribes. Just don’t blame me when you start side-eyeing your own cat afterward.
