Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (G) on GBA is one of those games that feels surprisingly good for a handheld port. You start with a quick tutorial, just ollies and grinds, but within minutes you're stringing together manuals and flip tricks in tight little levels. The controls take some getting used to—the shoulder buttons for spins feel awkward at first.
The levels are scaled-down versions of the console ones, but they still have that same flow when you find a good line. I remember spending way too long trying to nail a combo in the airport level, using luggage carts as ramps. The create-a-skater mode is basic but fun, letting you tweak small details like pad colors or hairstyles.
It's not perfect—the graphics are understandably pixelated, and some tricks are harder to pull off than they should be. But for a GBA game, it captures the feel of skating better than I expected. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (G) holds up if you're okay with its limitations.
