Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 on the Game Boy Advance came out in 2002, developed by The Corporation. You pick a pro skater and skate through levels like the Airport or Los Angeles, trying to complete goals within a two minute time limit. The main mechanics are building combos by chaining grinds, manuals, and flip tricks together; collecting letters to spell S-K-A-T-E; and hunting for hidden tapes. The pacing is fast, and the controls are tight, though landing long combos takes practice. It feels satisfying to nail a perfect run and hear that familiar sound of a goal completed.
