Toobin' came out in 1989 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a port of the original Atari Games arcade cabinet. It was a time when simple, high-concept games thrived, and this one fit right in with its absurd premise of competitive river rafting.
You control a character on an inner tube, navigating a winding river while throwing objects like soda cans and bowling balls at rival tubers and obstacles. The main goal is to reach the end of each course while out-scoring your opponent, either the computer or a second player. The signature mechanics involve steering your tube with careful timing to avoid rocks and waterfalls, while aiming your throws to knock other players off their tubes. The pacing is frantic, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as the river gets more crowded and treacherous. It feels like a silly, unpredictable brawl where a single mistake can send you spinning helplessly downstream.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
