Game Overview
Captain Carnage and Major Mayhem—the Doomsday Squad—are basically the only two guys dumb or brave enough to charge into Kookistan after General Akhboob turns it into a radioactive mutant factory. The whole place is crawling with his freaky soldiers, and you’ve gotta blast through 20 levels of them while rescuing hostages. It’s chaos, but the good kind where you can pick up a flamethrower and just go nuts.
Controls are simple: run in any direction (even diagonally, which felt weirdly fancy for the time) and hold down fire until everything stops moving. The mutants just keep coming, but you’ll find better weapons lying around—rocket launchers, plasma guns, even these spinning blade things that make no sense but look cool. Play solo or team up with a friend, though good luck not shooting each other by accident.
It’s pure, ridiculous ‘90s action with a soundtrack that sounds like someone microwaved a metal album. If you miss games where the plot is just an excuse to shoot everything, this one’s got your back.
