Remember that Toy Story game on the Sega Genesis where you could actually play as Woody and Buzz? It’s way better than most movie tie-ins—you start off jumping over toy soldiers and dodging RC cars in Andy’s room, but before long you’re sneaking through Sid’s house full of creepy mutant toys. The controls feel surprisingly tight for a licensed game, especially when you’re using Buzz’s laser to blast stuff or swinging from Woody’s lasso.

What I love is how it mixes things up—one minute you’re doing platforming, the next you’re racing RC through a supermarket aisle while avoiding cereal boxes. And yeah, it’s tough. Like, "throw-your-controller" tough in some spots (looking at you, Sid’s backyard level). But the pixel art nails the movie’s look, and the music? Pure ’90s magic. If you grew up with this one, it’s still a blast to revisit.
