Game Overview

Okay, so Toys on SNES is one of those weird movie tie-ins that somehow ended up being... kind of charming? It's based on that Robin Williams flick where everything looks like a surreal toy factory. You get four stages, each with this dreamlike, slightly off-kilter vibe—like playing inside a kid's overactive imagination.

First level drops you in a toy workshop with conveyor belts and giant wind-up gears. The controls feel a little floaty at first, but you get used to it. Weirdest part? Your character throws these tiny bouncing balls as weapons. Not what I expected, but it grows on you. Later stages get wild—one’s a battlefield with toy soldiers, another’s this pastel nightmare with giant stuffed animals. Definitely not your typical platformer.

It’s short, yeah, but the art style sticks with you. Feels like they actually tried to capture the movie’s weirdness instead of just slapping a license on some generic gameplay. Worth a look if you dig obscure 16-bit oddities.
