Game Overview

Toys on SNES is one of those weird, charming games that feels like it shouldn’t exist—but I’m so glad it does. Based on the Robin Williams movie, you play as Leslie, the goofy heir to a toy factory that’s been taken over by his militaristic uncle. Now the place is crawling with weaponized teddy bears, tanks disguised as playthings, and security cameras shaped like elephant heads. Yeah, it’s as surreal as it sounds.

The gameplay’s a mix of isometric action and light puzzle-solving. You’re armed with a water gun (for blinding those creepy elephant cameras) and an arsenal of ridiculous toys—bowling balls, custard pies, even a peanut gun. The factory’s split into zones where you take out enemies, disable cameras, and dodge laser beams while toy helicopters buzz overhead. Some of the enemy designs are hilariously unsettling, like pogo-stick bears that explode on contact.

What really sticks with me is the vibe—bright colors, weird sound effects, and this offbeat sense of humor that makes it feel like a toy commercial gone rogue. The final level has you flying a giant toy plane through a miniature Manhattan while dodging enemy choppers, which is exactly as chaotic as it should be. If you like games with personality (and a side of 90s weirdness), this one’s a trip.
