Game Overview
TransBot is one of those old-school Sega Master System shooters that somehow still feels fresh. You're the last pilot standing after some nasty underground aliens called the Dalaus wrecked everything, and now it's just you, your transforming robot, and a whole lot of enemies to blast through.
The coolest part? Your ship can switch between three forms—jet, tank, and humanoid—each with its own weapons and movement. I kept forgetting to use the tank at first, but it turns out it’s way better for tight spaces when bullets start flying everywhere. The levels get pretty chaotic, with enemies swarming from all sides, but nailing those quick transformations feels surprisingly satisfying.
It’s not the longest game, but the challenge ramps up fast, and the pixel art has that classic 8-bit charm. If you like shooters where you actually have to think about how you move, this one’s a solid pick. Just don’t expect the Dalaus to go down easy.
