You take control of different Autobots, switching between them to tackle specific challenges. The main goal is to fight off the Decepticon threat across various missions, often involving screen-by-screen exploration and combat. Signature mechanics include transforming from robot to vehicle mode mid-fight to gain tactical advantages, as well as using stealth sections to avoid detection. The pacing is fairly brisk, with some difficulty spikes when dealing with tougher enemy types. It feels like a compact, action-focused experience that makes decent use of the DS hardware.
