Game Overview

Transport Tycoon Deluxe came out in 1995 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Chris Sawyer and published by MicroProse. It arrived during a time when strategy and simulation games were gaining complexity, offering a deep, hands-on approach to building and managing transportation networks without the flashy graphics of later years.

You control a budding transport company, starting with a single vehicle and a modest loan. Your main objective is to connect industries and towns with roads, rails, and other transport links, earning profit by moving passengers and cargo efficiently. Signature mechanics include laying track tile by tile, managing vehicle schedules and maintenance, and adapting to economic shifts that affect supply and demand. The pacing is deliberate, even slow at times, with difficulty arising from balancing expenses against income and outsmarting rival companies. It feels like solving an intricate, ever-changing puzzle where every decision ripples across the map.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
