Download True Crime New York City ROM – Nintendo GameCube Game
You start as a cop cleaning up NYC, then end up robbing stores and buying rocket launchers—the game doesn’t care if you play hero or criminal, it just lets you go wild.
Game Overview
True Crime: New York City is one of those games where you start off thinking you'll play it straight—Marcus Reed, ex-gangster turned cop, trying to clean up the streets—and then suddenly you're shaking down shop owners for cash because, hey, police work doesn’t pay the bills. The city’s wide open, and you can actually walk into most buildings, which is wild for a GameCube game.
At first, you’ll do normal cop stuff: break up fights, pull people over, search cars. But then the game lets you go completely off the rails—plant evidence, take bribes, even buy an RPG from a gun store like it’s no big deal. The morality system is barely holding on by a thread, and that’s what makes it fun. You can play it as a legit hero or a total dirtbag, and the game just rolls with it.
It’s janky in places (this was 2005, after all), but there’s something weirdly satisfying about cruising through a grimy, neon-lit NYC where every alley feels like trouble waiting to happen. Just don’t be surprised when you accidentally start a gang war because you frisked the wrong guy.
