True Crime: Streets of LA is basically GTA with a cop who doesn’t care about rules—and honestly, that’s the fun part. You play as Nick Kang, a suspended detective who’s more interested in smashing up Chinatown than following procedure. The city’s huge, and you can jack any car you want (cops barely blink) or just run around beating up criminals on foot. Missions pop up constantly—shootouts, brawls, even some sneaky bits where you’ve got to take guys out quietly.

The fighting’s clunky but satisfying once you get the hang of combos, and the shooting has this slow-mo dive move that never gets old. Stealth missions are hit-or-miss, but messing them up doesn’t lock you out of the story—you just take a different path. And yeah, there are consequences: play too dirty, and the ending changes. Sometimes it’s more fun to just go full vigilante and see how much of LA you can wreck before the credits roll.
