Game Overview

Turn and Burn: No-Fly Zone came out for the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed by Pack-In-Video. It was one of those mid-90s flight sims that tried to make the most of the SNES hardware, focusing on fast action rather than deep simulation. It fit right in with other arcade-style games of the era, offering a quick, intense experience without a lot of frills.

You pilot an F-14 Tomcat, taking off from an aircraft carrier to complete missions like intercepting enemy planes or bombing ground targets. The controls take some getting used to; you manage throttle, pitch, and weapons while trying to lock onto enemies with your radar. Missions are short but demanding, with enemy missiles and anti-aircraft fire coming at you constantly. The feeling of successfully landing back on the carrier after a hectic dogfight is a genuine relief.
