Play Uchuu no Kishi - Tekkaman Blade on Snes Online
You transform into a glowing armored knight mid-level, dashing between aliens before obliterating them with an absurdly satisfying charge shot—just don’t expect the bosses to go easy on you.

Uchuu no Kishi: Tekkaman Blade came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, developed by Bec. It was one of those mid-90s anime adaptations that tried to capture the look and feel of the show, which was airing around the same time. The game fits right in with other action-platformers of the era, with big sprites and a sci-fi aesthetic that pushed the SNES hardware in a typical way for its time.
You control Blade, the armored hero, through side-scrolling stages set in space and on alien planets. Your main goal is to fight through waves of Radam enemies, clear each stage, and defeat the boss at the end. Key mechanics include firing your Voltekker, a powerful charged shot that clears the screen, and transforming mid-level into Tekkaman form for enhanced mobility and attacks. The pace is fast, and the difficulty is punishing, especially during boss fights that demand pattern recognition and quick reflexes. It feels tense and demanding, but landing a fully charged shot on a crowded screen is deeply rewarding.
