Game Overview

Ulises is a 1996 MS-DOS adventure game developed by Coktel Vision, known for their eclectic and often surreal titles. It arrived during a period when the genre was experimenting with unconventional narratives and visual styles, and it fits right in with that experimental spirit. The game does not rely on traditional fantasy or sci-fi tropes, instead presenting a world built on dream logic and absurdist humor.

You control a man named Ulises, navigating through a series of strange, interconnected screens. Your main objective is to solve a chain of illogical puzzles to progress; for instance, you might need to get past a sleeping goat by combining random junk from your inventory. Interaction is primarily through a point and click interface, and progression is heavily dependent on trial and error with the items you find. The pacing is slow and deliberate, with a high difficulty stemming from the non-obvious solutions to its many obstacles. Playing it feels like untangling a knot in a dream where the rules keep changing.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
