The levels are remixed, the sprites got a facelift to look like Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, and the whole thing feels like a weirdly ambitious fan mod. Still plays like classic Turrican though—big guns, sprawling stages, and that floaty jump you either love or hate.
First level throws you right into the action with some military base chaos, and yeah, you’ll probably miss the original’s alien landscapes. But if you’re into ‘90s action cheese or just want a fresh coat of paint on an old favorite, it’s a fun curiosity. Just don’t expect the movie’s plot—it’s basically just an excuse to shoot more robots.
