Unsolved Crimes is a 2008 Nintendo DS game from Now Production that came out during a time when the system was full of experimental titles trying to use the touchscreen in clever ways. It's a point and click adventure game built entirely around detective work, and it really commits to the bit of making you feel like you're on the job.

You play as a rookie detective in the NYPD, tackling a series of cold cases. The main objective is to solve each crime by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and finally presenting your theory of what happened. You use the stylus to thoroughly examine crime scenes, often needing to zoom in on specific areas to find tiny clues. Interrogations are a key mechanic, where you must choose the right evidence to present to break a person's story. The pacing is deliberate, as you methodically move from location to location, and some puzzles can be quite tricky if you miss a detail. It feels like doing a satisfying logic puzzle where you are the one connecting all the dots.
