Play Untima IX - Descension Online
You wander Britannia in janky 3D, tripping over bugs but stumbling into weirdly charming moments—like catching the blacksmith napping or getting lost in those godforsaken Catacombs.

Game Overview
Ultima IX - Ascension is like that ambitious but slightly overcooked meal your favorite restaurant serves—flaws and all, you can't help but love it. Jumping into Britannia in full 3D for the first time back in '99 felt revolutionary, even if your character moved like they were wading through molasses. The world's packed with weird little details—vendors who actually close shop at night, NPCs with their own (sometimes baffling) schedules, and moral choices that actually nudge the story.
Yeah, the controls haven't aged gracefully, and good luck getting through the Catacombs without at least one game-breaking bug. But there's still something special about how it throws you into this massive, slightly broken fantasy where every corner has some old-school Ultima quirk waiting. Just... maybe save often. Like, obsessively often.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
